Bio:

I have been negotiating since I first realized as a young girl that I had the power to persuade my mother to give me a cookie, even if she didn’t want to. I have been using that awesome power ever since.

I spent a number of years in Human Resources, primarily in the employment function, negotiating salaries and benefits for new employees. Sometimes it was a country club membership and sometimes it was a non-sense fancy title, but most people had something that they would accept in lieu of salary, and it was my job to find it.

As a young mother, it was disappointing to find that there were no HR jobs on the South Shore that I could apply to. I ended up in a temp sales job for Wearguard in Norwell, today owned by Aramark, and did not leave for 14 years. Wearguard was, at the time, a family owned company and they were terrific to work for. We worked hard, when necessary, but if they could give you some time off for a sick child or a Girl Scout meeting, they did. I am grateful to them for teaching me about sales and sales training.

I ended up in Real Estate because I thought I was smarter than everyone else (one of my numerous shortcomings) and thought, “If I am going to fail or succeed, it will be on my terms”. Also, my children were entering their High School years and they played sports, which required lots of driving around. I needed more flexibility and real estate was the perfect solution for me.

I started as an Agent in the Pembroke Office and worked and learned and loved it. I was then offered an opportunity to manage the Norwell Office (thank you Jack) and jumped at it. I managed the greatest group of agents ever assembled and really enjoyed building a team and helping them grow, but I missed my beloved town of Pembroke. When the Pembroke Manager position became available it was offered to me and I then had to make the hardest career decision ever. I took it because I wanted to focus on my own sales and felt that would be easier in Pembroke and really enjoyed my former teammates, plus the dog wanted a walk at lunchtime. I have a hard time saying no to the dog. So back to Pembroke.

I have a B.S. in Business from Umass Boston and my Broker’s license. I am also a Certified Buyer Representative.

I have been happily married for 25 years to my wonderful husband, Mark, who is a CPA and is very helpful with the tax questions. We have two children, a daughter Kristen who is a chemistry major at Saint Anselm's and a son Scott, who is an English major at the University of Notre Dame (Go Fighting Irish!).

I pride myself on my attention to service and ethics, while keeping the environment fun and lighthearted. I will always tell you the truth, as I see it, and never lead you astray.
