CONWAY CO. REALTORS PART OF FAMILY APPRECIATION DAY
Fundraiser at Abington WalMart to benefit Children’s Hospital

AbingtonAgents from Jack Conway & Co. Realtors joined other area businesses along with local and state officials recently at Wal Mart on Brockton Avenue in Abington for an evening of kids activities, food, and music to raise money for Children’s Hospital.
The Family Appreciation Day also included a keynote address from Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz, and comments from Children’s Hospital representatives. State and local police, the Abington Fire Department, U.S. Military, and Massasoit Community College were among the exhibitors, and The American Red Cross also conducted a blood drive. “ We were thrilled to be a part of this great event,” said Jack Conway & Co. Brockton manager Janet Baxter. “ We had a blast meeting tons of people and I know all the kids enjoyed the rides and the DJ.”

An estimated two thousand people enjoyed rides, games, food and music at the fundraiser for Children’s Hospital.

ENDING HOMELESSNESS IN SOUTHEASTERN MASSACHUSETTS

Jack Conway & Co. sponsors annual dinner and auction

Fresh on the heels of a very successful annual golf fundraiser, it’s time once again for the annual “Dishin’ it up for the Homeless” dinner and auction to benefit the MainSpring Coalition for the Homeless in Brockton. Jack Conway & Co. Realtors is once again a major corporate sponsor for the event which last year raised over $150Kwith a goal of $180K this year.

Efforts are underway to collect five live and 150 silent auction items. This means we need your help. Please consider donating some of the following items, gift certificates, sports/theatre tickets, trips, art, or anything with a value of $150 or more.

MainSpring Coalition for the Homeless provides the services it takes to meet the needs of homeless individuals and families in Southeastern Massachusetts. MainSpring offers individual employment training, educational classes, and counseling services designed to help people move beyond homelessness. Each year the coalition serves more then 1,000 adults and 300 children at four shelters in the greater Brockton area.  Jack and Patti Conway have been major supporters of the organization since its founding in 1982.

GOLF TOURNEY RAISES OVER $13K FOR MAINSPRING COALITION

Outing called one of the best ever

BrocktonA check for $13,900 was recently presented to the MainSpring Coalition for the Homeless in Brockton as a result of the 23rd Annual MainSpring House Charity Open golf tournament held at the Easton Country Club. Jack Conway & Co. Realtors started the outing in 1984 as a way bring in funds for MainSpring House in Brockton, Conway House in Middleboro, Evelyn House in Stoughton, and Montello House in Brockton. Over 120 players participated in the event this year.

“ We are extremely grateful to everyone who participated in the tournament again this year,” said MainSpring Executive Director Tom Washington. “ The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time for a good cause.” Event organizer Denis Lilla, Vice President of Conway Co. sales said the charity was one of the most successful in many years. “ Everyone really stepped up to the tee,” he said.

The all-day affair included 18 holes of golf, carts, a luncheon buffet, prizes, and many sports related raffle items.

MainSpring Coalition for the Homeless currently serves 90 homeless single adults and 30 homeless families each night. Each year, MainSpring serves more than 1600 homeless men, women and children in southeastern Massachusetts. It is the only organization of its kind in the region.
