JACK CONWAY HOLDS FREE EVENTS AT FALMOUTH MUSEUMS ON THE GREEN

Falmouth– As the stars shined in the gardens on a warm summer evening, the Falmouth Historical Society held an “After Dark” event sponsored by Jack Conway & Co. at the Falmouth Museums on the Green.

Falmouth Museums on the Green contain a treasure chest of stories and artifacts that, taken together tell the story of the town of Falmouth Massachusetts. Exhibits at the museum include the Falmouth 19th-century whaling industry, pre-civil war medicine, and the life of Katharine Lee Bates, Falmouth-born author of America the Beautiful. The museums hold special free events all summer, some of which are sponsored by Jack Conway & Co.

At a recent event sponsored by the Conway Co., guest speaker Rhoda Knight Kalt shared her experiences with grandfather Charles Knight, internationally recognized scientific illustrator, and his years spent at Woods Hole. The event was hosted by the Jack Conway & Co. Realtors Falmouth Office agents, Rosie O’Neil. Kathleen Hallam, Barbara Bauer, and Barbara Swenson.

The gathering was open to the public at no charge with 150 attending. The guests enjoyed beverages and hor d’oeuvres served under a moonlit tent.  Jane Totten, Director of Marketing for the Falmouth Historical Society was joined by many volunteers and board members making the event a great success.

On Thursday August 9th Jack Conway & Co. Realtors will be hosting another “After Dark” free event. It is a casual off-hours look at the Museums. Beverages, hors d’oeuvres will be provided, and an in-depth look at one of the artists who were inspired by the town of Falmouth. The event will be held under the tent from 5-7pm at the Falmouth Museums on the Green.
