Photo-Conway-Falmouth manager Peter Hawley peers out from behind bars before being bailed out of “jail” as part of a fundraiser for the MDA.

Falmouth–Jack Conway & Co. manager Peter Hawley was dragged off to “jail” last month as a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Hawley was one of thousands of fundraisers jailed for his convictions in an MDA Lock-Up. Local business and community leaders agree to be “arrested” (for having a “big heart”). Then friends and supporters agree to “bail them out” in order to raise funds for the MDA.

“This is a most worthy fundraising effort, and although I have escaped I continue to seek contributions,” said Hawley, the manager of Conway-Falmouth.

Hawley thanked Conway-Falmouth agents Barbara Bauer, J.R. O’Brien, Jean O’Brien, Matt Cronin and Don Myers, and Kathy Hallam from Conway Financial Services, for bailing him out of jail.

You can still send your donations to Hawley’s attention at the Conway-Falmouth office, 93 Davis Straits, Falmouth, MA, 02540.

MDA is a national voluntary health agency working to defeat more than 40 neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive services and far-reaching professional and public health education. The association’s programs are funded almost entirely by individual private contributors.

Jack Conway Co. is celebrating its 51st anniversary as the largest independently-owned real estate company in Massachusetts. There are 41 sales offices from Boston to Cape Cod. The firm also operates its own mortgage company, Conway Financial Services.
