PEMBROKE ARTS FESTIVAL THANKS JACK CONWAY & CO.
Recent 40th annual event draws huge crowds
Pembroke– From pastels and watercolors, to oil and acrylics and photography, the Town Green in Pembroke Center was alive with works from artists all over southeastern Massachusetts during the 40th annual Pembroke Arts Festival recently.
The popular three-day event drew one of the largest gatherings of participants and spectators in recent years, according to festival committee co-chair Joan Ulich, an agent at Jack Conway & Co. Realtors Pembroke office. “All of our artists were thrilled to get this kind of exposure for their work and the crowds loved the live musical entertainment, including The Singing Trooper, Dan Clark,” Ulich said.
Performances by the Centre Stage Dance Company, Pembroke School of Performing Arts, and Pelham Station country band were just some of the highlights, along with many activities for children.
Cash prizes were awarded in the fine art and photography categories, and a scholarship was presented to Christopher Zacher.
Many local businesses help sponsor the festival each year, and a host of volunteers work before, during, and after the festival to ensure its success. “Our 40th anniversary festival couldn’t have been better,” said Ulich. “And we want to extend our deepest thanks to everyone who helped make it possible.”
