Let the Lights Shine
Illumination in your home can be a "welcome sign" for every prospect. Turn on all interior and exterior lights especially for night showings. |
| 2. |
Avoid Crowds
If there are too many people around during a showing the prospective buyer may feel like an intruder and will rush through your home. |
| 3. |
Avoid Noise
When your house is shown turn down or off television sets. Let the salesperson and buyers talk freely without having to yell over the noise. A little soft background music is a nice touch. |
| 4. |
Pets
Dogs may be man's best friend, but not when your house is being shown. It is important that all pets are out of the way and not underfoot. |
| 5. |
Silence is Golden
When prospective buyers arrive be courteous and friendly, don't try to force conversation. Let the salesperson do the talking. They are there to inspect your home not to be social. |
| 6. |
Stay in the Background
The salesperson knows what the buyers are looking for and can best describe and emphasize the features of your home. Don't tag along, if there are any questions the salesperson will ask you for the information. |
| 7. |
This is Not a Garage Sale
Don't try to sell your furniture or furnishings to the prospective buyer. They haven't bought the house yet. There is plenty of time for that after the sale is made. |
| 8. |
Be Ever So Humble
There is no place like your home. You live in it, so don't apologize for the appearance of the house. If something out of the ordinary should happen to mess-up the appearance, inform the salesperson when the appointment is made. Should any negative comments be made let the professional salesperson answer them. |
| 9. |
Let the Professionals Do It
Let our trained professional salespeople talk to the buyer about price, terms, possession date any other related factors. Our salespeople are trained in negotiation and bring your home to a satisfactory conclusion. |

Shown by Appointment Only
We recommend that your home be shown by appointment only. Appointments will be made with as much advance notice as possible. It is important that your home be ready for show when called. |
