Dell and EMC are linked at the hip on quality and issues are felt and handled by both companies.  The question of the value of Howie" is the effectiveness of the link between the companies.  Generally it is excellent as there is a very open and honest flow of information in both directions.  Howie has been of particular help with some important process improvements such as Dell's participation in First Article Inspections which has yielded dividends for both companies without exceptions including FAIs on shipping products.  The development and use of QuIC Forms is another. From an EMC point of view you have done a great job of informing Dell of process directional or philosophical differences between the companies and often have successfully guided both to a mutual working relationship on the issues."                                                                                                 June 8 2010
